Resistivity profiling is used to map spatial changes in subsurface electrical properties. Applications of a resistivity survey are similar to those of electromagnetic (terrain conductivity) surveys. Resistivity profiling is most commonly used to map contaminated groundwater plumes, depth to bedrock and other gelogical profiling needs.
