Electromagnetic Surveys
At GeoSearches Inc., we conduct electromagnetic surveys using frequency-domain or transient electromagnetic techniques. In the near-surface (15-20 feet deep), frequency-domain electromagnetic methods can be applied to:
- Detect and map lateral variations in the lithology of rocks and soils.
- Find and map contaminant plumes.
- Locate buried metallic objects, including drums, tanks, utilities, and pipes.
At near- to mid-surface depths of 20-3,000 feet, transient electromagnetic methods can be applied to:
- Delineate thickness and depth of hydrologic and geologic units.
- Detect the water table and water quality, including salinity.
