GIS mapping and CAD deliverables
A finding nobody can locate again is not a finding. Everything we collect is positioned to survey grade and delivered in a form your designers can build on directly.
Positioning is part of the survey
Every line, station and marked target is tied to real control — RTK GNSS, robotic total station, or the project's own coordinate system where one exists. Findings come back in state plane, project grid or geographic coordinates as required, not as measurements from a fence corner that will be removed next month.
This matters most on the projects where it is least visible. Paint fades. A utility marked in May and dug in October needs to be findable in October.
What you receive
- GIS layers — shapefile or geodatabase, fully attributed: target type, depth, confidence, method of detection, quality level.
- CAD — DWG or DXF on your layer standard, ready to drop into the design model rather than traced off a PDF.
- Georeferenced imagery — radar time-slices, conductivity and magnetic grids as rasters, so the interpretation can be checked against the data behind it.
- 3D — point clouds and surfaces from laser scanning, and modeled subsurface horizons where the data supports them.
- PDF plans and report for the people who will never open a GIS.
Attribution carries the honesty
Every feature carries how it was found and how confident we are. A utility detected by direct connect and confirmed on two passes is not the same object as a linear anomaly inferred from a single radar line, and the layer says which is which — through ASCE 38 quality levels where the work is SUE, and in plain language everywhere else.
The alternative — a drawing where everything looks equally certain — is how somebody ends up excavating with more confidence than the data ever justified.
Equipment and capability
- RTK GNSS and robotic total station control
- State plane, project grid or geographic output
- Shapefile and geodatabase delivery
- DWG / DXF on your layer standard
- Georeferenced raster grids and time-slices
- Scan-to-BIM and 3D surfaces
What you receive
The full package: report, plans, GIS, CAD and the underlying gridded data. We do not hold data back as leverage for the next job.
Ask before you commission
Tell us the target, the ground and the constraint and we will say whether this method answers it, whether it needs a second method alongside, or whether something else entirely is the better route. That conversation is free and it is usually short.
